Acadia National Park is a 47,000-acre Atlantic coast recreation area primarily on Maine’s Mount Desert Island. Its landscape is marked by woodland, rocky beaches and glacier-scoured granite peaks such as Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the United States’ East Coast. We will photograph sunrises and sunsets, rocky shoreline landscapes, waves crashing on the shore, and more. The bayside town of Bar Harbor, with restaurants and shops, is a popular gateway.

Places we’ll visit: Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, Boulder Beach, Sieur de Monts spring, Otter Cliffs, Eagle Lake, Jordan Pond, Bass Harbor Head Light, Echo Lake, and more!

What you’ll learn: A variety of techniques for capturing natural landscapes, and techniques for using tripods and filters properly. We will have classroom sessions on Lightroom, Photoshop and more. Nighttime techniques for capturing pinpoint stars and star trails. Long exposure techniques.

When: September 2025 dates to be announced

This workshop will begin at 4pm on Wednesday, September 13th and end after dinner on Monday, September 18th.
